ATX116 is a coalition committed to public education rooted in community, connection, and shared responsibility. We believe real change in public education happens through relationships, transparency, and collective voice.

Founded in 2025 during a moment of disruption, ATX116 brings together parents, educators, and advocates from across Austin to strengthen trust, foster communication, and ensure every school is valued and represented.

Jessie Neufeld leads our work in advocacy, policy, and community coalition building. Her approach brings clarity to complex systems and creates meaningful opportunities for families to engage with decision-making.

Heather Wong leads ATX116’s work in storytelling, voice cultivation, and educator- and community-rooted dialogue. She centers the lived experiences of school communities and advances narrative change grounded in care, courage, and truth.

Together, Jessie and Heather support strategy development and help schools and communities move from isolation toward shared purpose.
